Met thru Disney....now Married!

Hi there everyone!

We met on the Disboards in Feb-Mar 2006, met in person at the ME desk in MCO in Sept 2006 (after many hours of conversation and determining that we were NOT axe-murderers), after several trips back and forth (he was in Illinois and I was in Texas), got engaged in a special spot in AK, and then took 20 people to Disney in October to witness the wedding at the Wedding Pavilion (near GF). The night before we had dinner at 'Ohanas and for some fun had lunch at WCC afterward. We would encourage a Disney wedding, it was perfect! (even converted some non-Disneyfied people to understanding of "the way")

We met our soulmates thru Disney and will be visiting in the future, as we both own DVC.

Our next trip is Feb 2008.

Anyone else out there have a similiar story???

Thanks Aunt Michelle! I know of at least TWO other couples that met thru Disney...One we attended the wedding in August (tell your story if you read this), and one more that will be married in the future...(a grand story also, esp the engagement).

My cousin went to Disney for the College Program and met her hubby who was in the CP as well.


Just a note.

The first time I met my wife was at a wedding. We had never met before and she was a bridemaid and I was a groomsman.

She caught the bouquet and I caught the garter.

True story.

I met my Jim right here in June 2 1/2 years ago. We were married in Juneau Alaska June 24th.

We are both in our 50's - had given up a long time ago and were not really looking......then POOF...there he was.

Disney trips are far more magical when shared with the person you love.

Don't give up....there are nice people everywhere just waiting to be met!
