While having dinner at the Johnny Rocket's restaurant at Cedar Point this past weekend with another DVC couple, our server (Josh) noticed the DVC member hat that I was wearing. He commented that he was a DVC member. We spent a great deal of time discussing the merits of DVC ownership. And we got GREAT service.

BTW - This is the same DVC hat that blew off my head last year when I was riding the Gemini coaster at Cedar Point. Fortunately the staff was able to recover my most favorite hat.

Towncrier,

Did you try the new Dragster Ride? It looks awesome - although a little on the scary side.

A bit off topic but, yes, I rode the Top Thrill Dragster (before the cable broke on Memorial Day). It's an awesome ride.

Gee...I thought your most favorite hat was that tri-cornered job you usually wear! :p

Did they fix the cable on the new ride? Hope so, we will be going to Cedar Point in August.

Towncrier and Kelly&John,
I am also a Clevelander. It's nice to hear from other DVC members in NE Ohio! The weather has been so icky here, I can't wait to go to BCV in 4 weeks!

We are going to Cedar Point in June. Have ressies for the Breakers Express for the first night when we get in late and then over to the Breakers Tower Hotel for the rest of the trip. Are the hotels nice? How does the park compare to Disney? Are there any characters that walk around or shows? Obviously we have never been there!!! Thanks.

My sis and I were just talking today about how we'd like to go to Cedar Point. When is a good time to go? We're hoping for low crowds when we do go...any suggestions?

Go when school is in session on a weekday. FYI, yes TTD is fixed. I suggest you stay at a cedar point owned hotel, you get in an hour early. Then do running of the bulls to ttd. Its the only way to avois hour+ waits. On weekends the lines get over 4 hours. Have a great time.;)

Hello to all those from Ohio...for those of you who have not been to Cedar Point, it is a typical amusement park - in other words, not like being down at Disney. If you go with this mentality, you will not be disappointed. My family has season passes to Six Flags in Aurora OH as it also is the home of the late "sea World of Ohio". The clientele on the park side is night and day of the Disney crowd!

Best advice is to not compare CedarPoint to WDW. But, if you are looking for coaster action you'll be happy. The line waits can be extremely long, though.

The old section of the Breakers Hotel is, well, old and not in great shape. The newer section is better. This isn't Disney. The best part of the hotel is it's location.

Cedar Point is the #1 Coaster park

in the USA

. It has more coasters than any other amusement park. Cedar Point is compareable to WDW in cleanliness and refreshment prices.
