Melissa - I am so thankful that you sent that card for my goddaughter Madison. She thought it was the coolest thing to get mail from you. Her and mom picked it up last night. Mom read it to her, and Madison loved it! She was answering the questions (she saw Monsters Inc, no Lilo and Stitch.) She ran around and gave everyone a hug and kiss from you and your family. She is starting her chemo pills today - 2 different kinds. I am just so grateful that you took the time to send her a card. The family also wanted to pass along a huge thank you, and they pray that YOUR health is improving, too. It was such a wonderful gesture.
If anyone else wants to send my little goddaughter a card, to wish her well with her new struggle with brain cancer, please PM me, and I will provide the address. It was so incredible to see her smile light up. When she got there, her mom says "Auntie Andrea has a card for you" She says "Why?" "Well, because your special and because they want you to be healthy, so they are sending you all prayers". She thought it was so cool..
So, thank you again, Melissa - it was so sweet of you...
Have a wonderful day...
Andrea
PS - Many have asked - she is 4, and this is her 3rd bout with brain cancer...starting at the age of 9 months. THis time it is a more helpless situation. They are trying all they can, but the cannot do surgery, as it is on her brain stem, and she has had her maximum lifetime dosage of radiation.....
Thank you to all who have already PM'd me. It is so wonderful to have you all as a support - not only for me, but for those that I love...
