Merry Mixer Question

What is the limit on who we bring with us to the Merry Mixer? My brother and his wife will be in Disney with us. Will they allow them to come or is it just immediate family?

It is my understanding it is your entire party. I suppose if you brought 50 people they might have a problem, however. We went yesterday and it was packed.

Did they ask to see your member card? I always have mine with me but sometimes lock everything extra in the safe and want to be certain I have it if I need it.

Yes you may bring a guest or two without problem. You must show your blue DVC Member Card, however, or you will not be admitted to the party.

I was there yesterday and we had a blast! Lots of DVC members from the DIS here, and the hot apple cider was yummy! More later..

You should be fine with your family.

We had a BIG group of DISers yesterday. CarolAnnC, her DH Crissup, Caskbill, iluvdisney, WDWLVR, MarkRG, Dianeschlicht, DVC John, Towncrier, Dumbo, TLinden, Lisa S and many others were there.

The party is a lot of fun with nice refreshments, Christmas music and LOTS of Disney characters.

Well worth the time to visit the event.

Yes, a great time! Nice to see a lot of you again. Our guests decided not to attend, and we were having dinner with them shortly afterward, so we didn't stay too long at the mixer, but got to meet up with lots of our DIS friends.

The little gift of a nice pewter holiday ornament was nice too. They didn't call me to tell me I won the gift basket, so I guess I wasn't that lucky! Looked like lots of kids were having a great time dancing with the characters though.

Hope to see some of the folks again on Sunday at our mini meet at OKW.

What kind of characters are at the mixer? Is it Santa and elves or Disney characters?

There were two Reindeer and Mickey and Minnie were dressed as Santa and Mrs. Clause. Here's a photo of the entrance:
