Here is wishing everyone and their families a very happy and safe holiday season. And let's not forget what the true meaning of christmas really is.

well gotta go play santa for the grandkids this year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks for putting sunshine into my somewhat bleak year. It's nice to make new friends that make you feel special. Here's hoping for a brighter new year for all of us.

To quote my brother, NTSammy5, "I LOVE you, man!"

On another note.... my handbell choir ROCKED tonite!! We receive a 4 octave set of handbells as a gift from another church in January this year. The gal who was going to start & direct a handbell choir moved away in August, and I was asked if I would start & direct a handbell choir. While I've directed large choirs, orchestras, and marching/concert bands, I never even HELD a handbell until September 30th. On November 11th we had our first rehearsal. Out of 12 people who volunteered to be "ringers", only 9 could read music - so we started from the very, very basics. In 6 weeks, I whipped them into very worthy bell choir that played a medley of "Away in a Manger/Still, Still, Still. They performed wonderfully! I am very proud of how much we accomplished in such a short time!! After my DH does some editing of video, I will post a YouTube link so you can hear what we've accomplished. That was the most amazing "gift" I could have received!!

Merry Christmas, and blessings to all!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope to meet some of you in 2010! Here's hoping that 2010 is a better year for us all. I love you all, even though I have never met you.

You go girl! Handbell choir is serious stuff! I went to Germany on a mission trip 2 years ago and was asked to join the handbell choir. (They were desperate.) I was already singing with a group, but thought I would try handbells out. With 3 other altos singing beside me, if I sang a wrong note, it wasn't extremely noticable. Handbells are a different story. Maybe I didn't give it long enough, but after 2 practices, I decided handbells were too much pressure! I LOVE to hear a handbell choir, but not with me in the mix.:worried:
