Hello Fellow DIS members!
Just taking a break from DL and heading back later this evening. Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! BTW, the weather is beautiful and the crowds are out in force today! Take care and be safe! I'll give you an update later...

We were at the park today (Christmas day). We got to DL at about 10:30, and at around 2:30 decided to head over to DCA. I was talking with one of the CMs at EnginEar Toys who told me that DL reached capacity around noon and DCA a little while thereafter. I don't know how true that is - yes there were some pretty big crowds but to be honest it seemed more crowded the night of the 22nd. Mind you we only managed 2 rides the whole day - PotC in DL and Soarin' in DCA - but we weren't really there for the rides today. Had a wonderfully leisurely lunch at the Blue Bayou (was disappointed that they were on the dinner menu all day).

My DS5 and DD3 were dissappointed that they could only go one a couple of rides that day because of the crowds. However, they really enjoyed the Christmas parade and Holiday fireworks show(with snow!). Although we had fun, I don't think I would ever go back on Christmas day. It was just too crowded for us to handle. One thing I did notice is that they offered free drink refills at the Plaza Inn for dinner! I don't know if it's always like this but we found it very useful and terrific as a money saving tip.

We've been here since the 19th, leaving on Tuesday : (. I had heard that Christmas was one of the busiest days, so we went to Medievil Times, which was great BTW. Driving back to the hotel around 10pm we saw a sign in the lot saying Disneyland was Full, DCA still open. Glad we missed it!! Today was not bad at all at DCA. We did neet a family that was in DL yesterday who said you could not see your own feet it was so packed!

If you're still here and like this sort of thing, take the holiday tour. Lot's of good trivia, walk right onto Haunted Mansions and Small World, front row seats (chairs!) for the parade with hot chocolate and a gingerbread cookie. You also get a pin and a tag to wear on tour that makes a nice ornament.

Cheers,
Lisa
