I was able to secure a studio at Grand Californian for December 24th and December 25th, however, not at the same time, therefore I have 2 confirmation numbers.

Do I need to call and ask member services to merge them (worried about losing one or ven both!) or can I wait until check in and let them know?

Thanks!

Call and get the reservations combined I to 1 number otherwise there is a small chance you might need to change rooms

That's what Im trying to avoid. SO I guess it's best to take care of it now.

Thanks!

Do you happen to have the email? Thanks Bruce!
Select 'Contact Us' on the member website and then click on the envelope icon. This will open a web form that you can fill out which will then send you request via email.

Thank you Michael!

This request you can also do with email. I haven't ever had a problem merging them.

Bruce
I just did this for a reservation this week. I had 2 days & 4 days with a day in between on wait list. The wait list matched and I emailed them. Got back a confirmation within the day. The 4 days had been 2 separate ones and they had combined those on their own without me asking which they likely would have done with these as well. I did it by direct email rather than the website. Technically they cancel the others and usually combine them under the first confirmation #.

Thanks for the explanation

Sent an email yesterday. Waiting for the reply! :)

Maybe, maybe not. My reservations for last February never got combined on their own. They were made very close in time together, same names same room type same everything. I just watched them sitting there, never getting combined. I let the MBs ship. Waited and waited. Finally, maybe a week or 2 prior I called and had them merged. I don't think they ever would have gotten merged if I'd waited.

Sure it's been hit or miss but they often have and in every situation I've had in the last few years where they had a few days to sit on them, they did on their own.

I have not had them combine in quite awhile either.

I'm glad they stopped doing that as i normally book two home resorts bookings at 11 months 1 to keep and 1 to swap for something else at 7 months or combine if /i can't find anything. It was annoying when they were automatically combines before 7 months.
I don't think they've stopped, only do it sometimes and not at others. I had them combine just a couple of months ago.

What's difference between merge/combine and link?

What happens or can be done under the following scenarios?
1. Make 2 reservations, one for 12/24 and one for 12/25, from same contract?
2. Make those 2 reservations, but from 2 different contracts in same membership #?
3. Make those 2 reservations, but from 2 different membership #'s of same owner?
4. Make those 2 reservations, but by different owners?

1. They can be combined into one and this might be done automatically.
2. They can often be combined into one and this might be done automatically. In part it may be variable and depend on whether any portions were done during the home resort priority. Maybe someone has direct experience with combining/linking the same resort done under one master but where part is done during the 11 month priority window and part after from a different home resort.
3. They cannot be combined into one but can be linked. You'll have to "check in" again on the change day.
4. Same as 3 but both owners have to be involved.
