I have Photoshop 8.0 CS and I can not for the life of me figure out how to merge different photos together or how to do the Bubble letters filled in ...if anyone can point me in the right direction of a tutorial (I can't find one) or can give me a step by step (like the idiots guide:rotfl: :rotfl: ) I'd appreciate it Thanks so much y'all!!!:flower3: :flower3:
I'd rather annoy someone asking this question so that I can DISign my own stuff....hope I don't sound rude.....
Love y'all:hug:

I am hoping that Photoshop Elements and what you are using are similar enough...

In Elements this is how I do it - put the graphic(s) above the text layer and then put your cursor between the two layers and when you get a circle-ish shape, hit the ALT button on your keyboard. If you are including more than one graphic in the letters, hit the ALT for each layer above the text layer.

I hope this helps!

Do you know if you do this the same way in photo shop elements 6?

The way I do it should work in most versions.

1. Load the clip art.

2. Add the text making sure it is on top of the clipart.

3. Simplify the text layer.

4. If you wish to have a border around the letters add it now using the stroke command (edit menu?)

5. Fill in around the letters with a color different than either the letters or the border.

6. Using the Magic Eraser (right click on the eraser) turn the letters transparent.

7. After positioning the mask so the best parts of the clipart show through merge all layers in to one.

8. Using the Magic Eraser again turn all areas outside the letters transparent.

Thank you so MUCH for posting the tutorial link I finally figured it out which mean MORE DISIGNS:rotfl: :woohoo: :cheer2: :flower3: THANK YOU!!

I got it to work, but i can't find bubble looking text in the program. Is the font something you downloaded?

I also use dafont.com (as Dom13 said) to get my fonts. I usually just search around to find a fat one. I have used many different fonts. I choose a font based on what I am filling it with or the mood I think of in the design. Meaning if it should be girly, masculine, plain, etc...

I am so glad you figured it out - It feels great when it FINALLY works! huh?

See if this tutorial helps explain it a little better...

I use Photoshop Elements 5.0. I would assume it works the same in 6.0 but am not sure.

Thank you for the link. I followed the instructions in the tutorial and was able to get the letters filled with my background! I just got PhotoShop Elements 5.0 with my drawing tablet, so I don't know much about it. I'm much better in Photo Impact.

LOL I was like it was really that easy why couldn't I get it to work...:rotfl: :rotfl:

I know the feeling - I was in your shoes a year and a half ago and I know I wanted to get up and dance when it finally worked! In fact that was where the addiction officially started!
