Merderma Strech Mark Cream - Any good?

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Mederma cream for strech marks. It is fairly expensive and I wondered if it actually works before I splurge. Thanks in advance.

My friend works for this company, that makes similar products - but more expensive (so not exactly Budget Board material). But I've heard/read very good things about this - not from my friend - of course she would, but I did a little research into it myself. They have a lot of celebrity clients.

We've been using Mederma scar treatment on a small scar on my daughter's face - I'm not sure if it's working or not - it's a long term treatment and she's not so diligent about using it faithfully.

I would be curious also. I found very large dark stretchmarks on my dd 14's knees! I wouldn't bother for myself (I look like a roadmap), but she is only 14 and they are very noticible in a place you can see with shorts and dresses. She grew an inch recently, quite quickly, I couldn't believe she had stretch marks!

My son has stretch marks on his back from growing 3 inches in one summer. They are not going away any time soon. I used my lansinoh on them and they look the same.

I was trying to get this for DD19(she's got the badger look going from having DGS10 months) but could not find it anywhere around here! Maybe it will make it to the big city soon.

I have heard that its the rubbing of the skin that works... use vaseline twice a day and rub the scar for 5 minutes and it is supposed to have the same effect...

may have even read that one here - a long time back
