Merchandise question (hat size!)

I posted this in the theme park strategies board, but then it occurred to me that this one might be better suited. Here's the post:


I have a question regarding this Captain Eo hat: http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/m/mvOgTCKitOCuxKBKmiuLSSg/140.jpg The item description says that it is "fully adjustable," but I still have concerns about whether it will fit. I generally wear hats with a 22-23 inch head circumference, meaning that the only hats that fit me tend to be men's sizes. If anyone here knows whether this hat will accommodate someone with that head size, I would appreciate knowing. I will be going back to WDW this coming May and could just try it on then, but I would prefer to buy it online ahead of time so that I can bring it on the trip with me.
(If this helps with size references, adult size ear hats do fit me snugly, but well enough; however, both the top hats with ears and the Jack Skellington fedoras I tried on last trip were too small. Whether or not Disney hats fit me really tends to be hit or miss.)

(By the way, this thread is not intended to start any more big debates about Captain Eo. I happen to be a huge MJ fan who is greatly looking forward to this, and snide comments will not change that. Helpful answers are appreciated, but I'd really rather not have anyone use this thread to start something...)


I really want this hat, but if it's not going to fit, I'd rather spend the money on one of the Captain Eo shirts. I'd appreciate any info anyone may have on this. (I contacted the seller recently, but she didn't respond- it's possible that she just doesn't know much about hat sizes and how to measure them- and I don't want to continually bother her.)

I might add that in case the picture doesn't show up for some people or isn't clear, the hat I'm referring to is the military-style cap, not the beanie. (I have no concerns about the beanie fitting, since those things stretch so much and have never been a problem for me.) Surely someone on Disboards has bought this hat at some point?

Nobody knows? I don't even need exact measurements; even just a rough idea of the size of the hat would be helpful. I find it really hard to believe that nobody on Disboards owns this hat...
