Anyone have any menu information for receptions and price. I know the wish book has examples and I was wondering how far off the 75 per we would be looking at. I would like to do a brunch.

I am having a brunch reception at Ariel's located in the Beach Club. It was originally called the Mystic Brunch & was $40.95 a person but has since been upgraded to The Hamptons Brunch, I don't know what the updated price is just yet, I had my phone planning session today & am waiting for my BEO(price quote).

The Hamptons Brunch
Fruit Yogurt with Granola, Bananas and Sliced Strawberries
Caesar Salad Station with Choice of Shrimp or Chicken
Chef preparing Omelets and Eggs to order, with smoked Ham, Fresh Herbs, Cheddar Cheese, Mushrooms, Peppers & Onions
Smoked Ham with Bourbon and Honey Glaze
Smoked Bacon and Breakfast Sausage
Belgian Waffles served with Warm Maple Syrup
Orange Poppyseed Loaves, Buttery Croissants, Cream Cheese & Raspberry Danish

There is another one that is a step up called the Cape Cod Brunch that runs $56.95 per person, both are 50 person min. ***Thes might be slightly outdated as far as pricing I will update you when I find out***

For our prereception we are doing mini pasteries, bagels, mini danish & coffee tea juices.

Oh & these are both buffets. I haven't seen a sit down brunch. I found that having a brunch menu saved ALOT of money & enabled us to have an Illuminations Dessert party as well. Hope this helped.

:bounce: KT27 - thank you so much for sharing that info!! We are planning on a lunch/brunch reception and I was so excited to see those prices... even if they go up a bit we'll still be able to stay within budget!!! And we are going to be doing an Illuminations dessert party as well!!! We are doing our site visit while we are visiting for Christmas... :cool1: I can't wait!

You should be able to get that information directly from your Wedding Planner / Event Manager. When I was planning my vow renewal last year, my Sales Manager sent me lots of menus that covered the whole gamut of prices and dishes. Some of the selections were amazing (and made my stomach growl in jealousy ;) ).

I'm a little frustrated, I didn't even know the brunch menu was an option! All my coordinator sent me were menus of dinner - plated and buffets. I will have to ask her more about this option - my reception is at 11 am.. It would have been nice to know about the brunch option.. aye...

Does anyone know if you can create your own menu. Ive only had 1 or 2 sample menu's at the moment but as im having a sit down meal i dont want to offer everyone loads of choices! Maybe just a few?

I did a buffet for my rehersal dinner and was told I could change/add anything I wanted to. But in general I got the impression from my food person that any menu could be changed to suit your tastes. Of course that effects the price, but depending on what you are doing it can lower the price as easily as it can raise the price.

Is It Possible To Stay Within The 100-125 Per Person For Dinner With Lets Say Cheese And Crackers With One Hour Open Bar And A Buffet Type Dinner. Sort Of Food Station Idea.

our sit down dinner menu is at $80.95 so the $75 or close too is realistic for dinner & most of the brunches are even more affordable in the $40-60 range from the menus ive seen. there are some menus posted here http://www.yourfairytale.com/catering.html & the pricing is pretty much the same.

we customized our menu, so we have:
ceasar salad with choice of dressing
canadian bacon cheddar soup (recipe from le cellier)
chicken scampi with angel hair in a garlic cream sauce
oak grilled beef tenderloin with cream cheese & white truffle potatoes, carrots & asparagus.
chocolate cup of tiramisu.

are open bar is costing us like $40pp. from 2-8pm with a break during dinner.

for our prereception we are having shrimp cocktail & crabcakes, fruit & vegetable displays, pierogi & mini deep dish pizzas.
