*Menu Recommendations at Jiko??

Definately try an African wine; if you aren't familiar with the offerings the wait staff are great at assisting you with pairing.

I think they do appetizers very well here, and they know how to prepare fish. I like the filet, which is a signature dish, however it is quite heavy. If you are going to try a number of courses, an entree lighter than the filet will get you more mileage. The pistachio creme brulee is to die for, IMHO.

You can't go wrong with the beef filet and mac & cheese at Jiko. It is my favorite meal in the world! I get it every time we go to Jiko.

OMG..... you sound like me lmao. Every time I have gone I get it....I refuse to get anything else. When I am home I dream of it until I can eat it again :lmao:

Wazzo your picture of it literally made me drool on my keyboard :rotfl: Sad part is Im not exaggerating

So in case you havent gotten the jist yet........
GET THE FILET MIGNON WITH THE 3 CHEESE MAC & CHEESE!!!!!!!! The cheese sauce is unlike anything you've had before....I guarantee it! I ranted and raved about it to friends of ours and when they went last and tried it they loved it. They've been craving it ever since!! Its addicting I swear!!

P.S. Im lactose intolerant and I eat it anyway lmao

The service & food were incredible; DH & I dressed up bit. I wore a black dress. As soon as we were seated, our wonderful server hurried off & came back with a black cloth napkin for me so that I wouldn't get white lint on my dress from the white napkin! (That was a first time for me anywhere I've dined!). Some of the items we had are no longer on the menu (the appetizers have changed), but I did have the Alaskan Halibut which was wonderful & my DH had the Filet w/ Mac & cheese which was equally wonderful; the filet melted in your mouth! (Jiko's & Le Cellier so far best filet around the world!). For dessert, we had the pistachio creme brulee & our server also brought us out some chocolate "beggers purses" which were not on the menu, but were wonderful. We had some type of South African red wine with our meal which complimented our food perfectly! Bon appetit!
