just been drooling over where to eat for our Aug trip, noticed restaurants in universal hotels charge 18% gratuity for 6 or more, doesnt mention it in park/citywalk restaurants though - anyone know if they charge the same their?
Thx :goodvibes

They charge gratuity ( 18% ) for ANY party or anything. That said, the service was great around the Hard Rock pool...just because the servers know they are getting 18% doesn't mean they slack...it's the other way around, they are friendly and fast!!!

Does anyone know anything solid about whether the Three Broomsticks is going to be taking reservations when it opens for the general public (and how early reservations can be made)? Most references I see to the Three Broomsticks call it a counter-service restaurant. But then while listening to the DIS podcast about WWoHP, they were all encouraging anyone who planned to eat at the Three Broomsticks to get a reservation.

No reservations. Just queue up like any counter service. :thumbsup2

Can anyone tell me if I can or need to make reservations for Bubba Gumps or Bob Marley's? We ate at margaritaville last year and it was a very long wait!

I'm sure it depends on when you're going and what time you want to eat. We had lunch at Margaritaville a couple days ago with no longer than a couple minute wait for them to get our table ready.

I agree with lildamo. Last June we were seated immediately at all the places we ate at City Walk for lunch. We ate early dinners and never waited longer than 5 minutes (including Margaritaville). I'll be curious to see if things change this June with the opening of WWoHP. We're headed down June 21st, so I'll be sure to report what I find once I get there.

Thank you guys so much for your responses! I got the numbers for those restaurants...I'm going to try and keep it open and see how it goes. I just hate waiting for a long time to eat!! Especially when I'm already starving :rotfl:

Just wanted to let everyone know that the menus on allears are pretty close even thought they seem so outdated.

:surfweb:I compared allears to what other poster have written and a 2010 guide book and other that the whole pizza price, everything else seems to be accurate. So I guess Universal hasn't gone up in price in the last 3 or 4 years. :woohoo:

No reservations for lunch and dinner. Anyone can queue up.

Reservations are only for package holders who get the breakfast at the Three Broomsticks.

What is the whole pizza price now? My budget has it down for $15.99. I was excited about the low cost to feed my family of 4 with a whole pizza!
