We are staying at BLT in a few weeks as DVC members. I understand the lounge has a menu of appetizers, light food. Would someone be able to post the menu?

thanks

It's very limited - I have heard they also have Uncrustables for kids and can make a simple flatbread for kids as well:

Appetizers

Lump Crab Nachos with black bean salsa $10.99

Chicken and Vegetable Summer Roll $10.49

Bay Lake Tower Flatbread - applewood smoked bacon with chopped lettuce and tomatoes $7.99

Buffalo Mozzarella Flatbread - with roma tomatoes and pesto $7.49

Beef Tenderloin Flatbread - with goat cheese, aged balsamic, and onion jam $8.49

Dessert Trio

Creamy Indulgence $7.99
Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis
Coconut Panna Cotta with Passion Fruit Drizzle
Chocolate Passion Fruit Mousse with pecan-olive brittle

1) As listed above, the items are very limited.
2) The bar is meant to be a bar and sitting lounge.
3) It is not mean to be an eatery or tasting lounge.

NOTE: Compared to the amount of rooms at BLT, the lounge is quite small. They expect crowds for fireworks, but few patrons at other items during the day. Thus, limited food offerings. Plus, it is not a Club Floor lounge with food laid out.

I have head that the BLT Flatbread (with bacon, etc) is quite good----

A recreation staff member at BLT told us she loved the beef flatbread. The staff had an opportunity to sample it one day.

We plan to have a light dinner in the lounge next trip.

Does anyone know what a "summer roll" means?

The flatbread was pretty good. DH had the regular one and was happy with it. I had a very simple one - just like a cheese pizza was how our server put it. Apparently they get requests for them because of kids.

It is a small lounge but when we had an early evening, we really enjoyed sitting around, having a drink and snack, and then going outside for the fireworks.

We also saw kids eating Mickey ice cream bars.

I tried Brucie's signature drink when we were there in Sept. and really enjoyed it. It was refreshing and not overly sweet.

Googled Summer roll and apparently it is similar/same as a Spring roll.

does anyone know if you can bring food up there to watch the fireworks?

1) Don't know the answer to that one.
2) Normally it is tacky to bring your own food to an eatery or bar.
3) But, it sure doesn't hurt to ask.

A summer roll is made out of rice paper, filled with vegetables, shrimp, chicken...and you have a light dipping sauce for it.

Many people even on the Food Network get spring rolls which are deep fried, liked the ones you find at a Chinese restaurant confussed with summer rolls. Summer rolls can be found in Vietnamese, and Thai restaurants. They are very light, and refreshing.
