We will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan, and would like to eat at the California Grill at least once. Since it is my understanding that one gets an appetizer, entree, and dessert with their meal on this plan, I'm confused as to whether particular items on Cali Grill's menu are covered under the plan, or if they are, what they count as.

For instance, the sushi, the flatbreads, and even the cheese trays.
If one orders one of these items, do you pay out of pocket for that, or is it counted as an appetizer/entree, or even a dessert?

I do understand that California Grill is a signature restaurant and counts for two table service credits.

Thanks for any insight.

When I went there two years ago on deluxe dinning , I got sushi and it was covered. I believe the cheese and flat breads are coverd also. You pick from all the starters I believe for app.

We went last month and we were on the DxDDP. For the appetizer you could order any of the flatbreads, appetizers, or sushi except for the 2 most expensive rolls (Yoshie's Platter or the Dragon Roll, $28 each). Those could be ordered as an entree. The Cheese Plate could be ordered as an appetizer or dessert.

Yummy! I love cheese and want to get the cheese trays wherever they're offered, but I don't want to pass up the flatbread, either. Looks like I'll get to have both at California Grill! I'll have to check out those fancy sushi entrees, too. Really looking forward to California Grill.
