There have been a million threads about negative menu changes, but am I the only one seeing some positive changes lately? I had thought we were going to stay at the Poly in Jan, so I made all my plans based on being in a monorail resort, then my kids started lobbying for the Beach Club instead. So I had occasion to revisit some menus to start updating my ADR list to work with the new location.
I was a little surprised by some of the things I noticed - new items, some of them higher end (crab legs at Captain's Grill) or unusual (ostrich at CA Grill), more variety than the beef/chicken/salmon or tuna that had come to dominate every menu, and of course the fact that the newest restaurants at Disney (Kouzzina and Sanaa, and to a lesser degree, The Wave) both more unique menus. Granted, I'm only looking at resort restaurants and mostly signatures, but it just seemed like a stark contrast to the doom-and-gloom here on the boards regarding menus, particularly during free dining. Only time will tell if it lasts, but maybe Disney is coming around to a better balance between "safe" food for picky eaters and more interesting choices for the rest of us.
