Menu at Chef’s de France on the Dining Plan?

Has anyone had dinner here with the dining plan? I have this planned as my birthday dinner in December and I've read a few articles that imply that on the dining plan you have to order from the fixed price menu (includes an app, entree, and dessert) meaning that you can't just order anything of the menu. Is this true? The articles I've read aren't really clear but mention the fixed price menu.

No. You CAN order the Fixed menu which does include an appetizer. BUT, you don't have to! You can order from the regular menu you just wont get the appetizer, only entree and dessert.

Just to concur with the above post... you can order any entree, dessert and na beverage from the menu.
And, you will LOVE Les Chefs... it was the second best meal we ate (Le Cellier being the best) Enjoy!!

No, you don't have to order from the fixed menu but it's a great option.

If you are on the deluxe dining plan you can order any appetizer, entree and dessert on the menu (plus a beverage).

If you are on the regular plan and you want an appetizer covered, you must order from the fixed price menu. If you order from the regular menu, you can get only an entree and dessert covered (plus a beverage).

if the foods you'd like are on the fixed price option, it's a nice way to get an appetizer on the regular dining plan...when we were there May 2009 two in our party chose the fixed-price option because both the entrees & the desserts they wanted were on the fixed price menu. So basically they got what they wanted PLUS an appetizer.

DH & I, on the other hand, wanted pricier entree options so we just ordered off the regular menu and paid OOP for appetizers (had to have that yummy french onion soup)
