I never seem to get one that lasts more than a year or two. Granted I buy $15 wallets. But I would be willing to pay more for one that would last 5 - 10 years, like the one my dad had when he was alive.

I see wallets online for up to $500. No way I would spend that. But I might spend $40 - $50 if I thought it might get me 3 - 5 years. Does that sound right?

We get DH a new one every year too...15 bucks sounds about right to me, lol. I don't know if my kids would know what to do if they could not get him one for Christmas. I would be interested in seeing what others think about a longer lasting one. Hmmm maybe you guys could have differenct season ones, like I do with my purse. A fall/winter one and a spring/summer one! :rotfl:

I'm still using the one I got on my honeymoon in 1984. I've been looking for a replacement, but I want an exact duplicate and I don't think they make them anymore. I got it at Disneyworld, with a picture of Robert E. Lee on it as well as a Southern flag (which is why I don't think it's made anymore). I don't trade it out because it was bought for me by my wife.

I got one for DH about 5 or 6 years ago...paid around $40 for it and it's still going strong.

My Dh has had one like this for about 7 years and it is still in great shape.
