Hey guys (girls can reply too) I need some advice. Do guys enjoy getting flowers? I am thinking of sending some to my good friend for his birthday next month. I just am not sure how he would feel - I am sending them to work.

Guys do you like getting flowers or is that too girly or what??

 Hi Christine.

As a guy, I wouldn't mind getting flowers. But I'd prefer a 12 pack of beer. :teeth:

A case of beer is even better:D And it's still MUCH cheaper than flowers:D Think of it as a bottle bouquet;)

Yeah but I can not bring in a case of beer to work. I dont think he would like getting that anyways. Thanks for the suggestion though.

thanks.

Ok do you think a gay guy would appreciate flowers?

Yes, my brother would love them. ;)

I have sent guy friends a balloon bouquet before and they got a kick out of it, even had a small teddy bear added to the ballons. This guy is your typical male, I think he would have died with the flowers, I think he died with the ballons, but it was better than flowers. I like the idea of a cookie bouquet too.

GladysK, I like your style! :)

I have sent my DH flowers before. He said he liked them - hopefully he wasn't just saying that to be nice.

I just made sure they were bright colors, nothing to girly and nothing too big. I also sent some food with - a jumbo box of licorice :)

Hey Chris, my birthday is next month too. Don't forget Chrissi's b-day. We like the cookie idea, hint hint.

my husband would love a cookie bouquet, much more than flowers.

What about a nice plant?

I am jumping on the bandwagon with the 'cookie' bouquet here. I wouldn't mind flowers (after all, I *am* a purse clutcher even though I have YET to see proof), but have loved the cookies I have gotten in the past.

I've gotten flowers at work many times , and I loved it..I also enjoyed the look of jealousy on all the secretaries faces....LOL

While I appreciate any gift, something that mixes sentiment and practicality is better. Cookie bouquet, gift basket with snackies, even the balloons, if they're helium. No, I'm not inhaling it.....
