luvmyboys said:Until recently, I was a manager at a Blockbuster (I know, I know, you're all so jealous). The reasoning they gave me when they instituted the "repeat the title" policy was that the company was issuing too many credits for people renting the wrong movie. B-Buster was on a huge "credit crackdown" when I was there... But it is amazing the number of people who would return within hours of renting a movie and tell me that it wasn't the one they intended to rent. I could never figure out if A. they were just absentminded & really did pick the wrong movie up or B. they went home, watched it, and came back CLAIMING they had a brain mis-fire in order to rent another movie for free...
So that is the "official" reason behind repeating the title, though as a paying customer, I too find it irritating.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but it made me think about some of my old customers.

I will never understand why people see "tear jerkers" as entertaining. Like we don't all have our own problems without getting all weepy over fictional ones.

I've never cracked a smile. I do not get it. You KNOW the one guy is going to get all ticked and hit the other. What is so dang funny?
I like chick flicks. I like John Wayne. Didn't see BBM.

I finished it, put it on my bedside table, put the light off, and just started balling.
UnderTheMistletoe said:I was the same way. I read it before going to bed and DH had fallen asleep while I read it. I finished it, put it on my bedside table, put the light off, and just started balling.

, but I have a confession.
Personally, I have no desire to see it. But I'm no homophobe.TDC Nala said:Is it necessary to like this movie? I haven't seen it, but I don't like love stories anyway. That'll get me some flack...I'm a female and we're supposed to LIKE love stories. But this film, well, are you a homophobe if you're not really interested in seeing it, or just if you want to make sure the universe knows you're not interested in seeing it?

shortbun said:We saw it. We hated it and it had nothing to do with "graphic." We thought it dull, depressing, unbelievable and visually uninteresting. When we walked in the theatre, we thought it would be pretty much the opposite. I mean come on...these guys were cowboys who spent weeks together on some of the most beautiful fishing streams in our country and they didn't even fish!!!!! Riiiight.![]()
