I have two full black tuxes, and a white dinner Jacket. And I wear them several times a month for various lodge functions or other events.

I have a tux and a white dinner jacket, haven't worn them in years. Most places around here are "cowboy dressy", jeans and button down shirt.

I have one basic tux. I used to have two or three at any given time back when I played in a busy wedding band, but most of my gigs today are less formal. I just need the one for the occasional formal gig and that's only about every other month at most. When I'm not playing a gig I'm almost always in shorts and a comfortable shirt.

All the tuxedos I have owned over the years are much more comfortable than the average rented tux. When you buy a tux it is usually better tailored for you than the quick fit on a rental.

The only tux I have ever been able to get frog into was at our wedding (rented) I was lucky he wasn't like my ushers lower right picture who refused to wear anything but overalls.

I don't own a full tux. I own a black suit and a black tie and cumberbun. not the best choice, but the only time I would wear one was being in a wedding, where you wear the tux they choose, or on a cruise.

I wore the half tux black tie, cumberbun on the cruise.

I had one but cut the sleeves off

A few - but I'm a musician. I rarely wear one to "functions", just when performing.

I had one that I wore for various occasions for a year or so. I rented one last year for the wedding of DD, will rent another one for other DDs wedding next year, and that will probably be the last time I'll be wearing a tux.

Tux? I don't even own a suit.

I came into the world casual and have remained so. I did rent one for my wedding but that was it. Oh yea, and the two that I was in the wedding party of plus my daughters weddings. Man, I can't believe how formal I have actually been.

Nope, never owned a tux.

I do however own several suits. The only time(s) I've needed a tux was at weddings (mine included) and we just rented.

DH owns a black tux, and a white dinner jacket, with a wide variety of cummerbunds, ties, studs, etc. Even suspenders. He updates the shirts and ties every few years, as that (along with collar styles) is what changes the most.

He also still has, and can still fit into, his Navy formal uniform.

He wears his tux a few times a year, and DS borrowed his Dad's for the Theater Dept's "Oscar" party last spring.

My father and father-in-law also owned their own, and since I had a very traditional, evening wedding, the men involved wore their own (if they had them) with only those who didn't own one renting.

I have a basic black tux, bought it for around $150.00 with shirt and bowtie. I've used it on two cruises, it's already paid for itself.

I'm really surprised by all the people who own tuxes. What do you wear them for? All the men I know who own them are musicians.

The Northwest is pretty casual, so my husband doesn't even have a real suit. He wears shirt and tie quite a bit and has one "sportcoat" he can use in a pinch.

I am not a man but I will answer for DH. He owns one tux. A classic black one. Very nice.
