My wife has this theory that cinnamon is a flavor favored mostly by men. Not that women actively hate it, but a man flavoring something with cinnamon will put in a lot more cinnamon than a woman would.

What's your experience?

My Dh hates cinnamon, so much that he will vomit if he eats anything with it as an ingredient. It was hard to bake when we were first married because cinnamon is so common.

I love cinnamon in my hot chocolate.
I also sprinkle a lot in my gingerbread latte.
I am woman hear me roar in numbers:music: ...uh, getting back to the thread...

Another cinnamon lover here:love::love::love:!!! Great on toast, in applesauce, and zucchini bread.

I buy it in bulk amounts-ground and sticks. I cook it on the stove in the winter, I put it in my chili, rice, on my meatloaf, on baked chicken, I marinate pork chops in worchestershire and loads of it.......and on and on. I use it on my door jams to keep away ants. I put a stick in my coffee, my hot chocolate, my chai. I would be lost without it!!! :)

I love cinnamon the spice and cinnamon the flavor -- cinnamon gum & candy, the hotter, the better! I love it as a spice too.

My husband will cook with it lightly, but he's not a big fan of it, and really doesn't like it at all as a flavoring.

A little cinnamon goes a looong way for me.

I find the taste and smell of cinnamon to be very comforting. Now that I think about it I probably like the smell of anything cooking with cinnamon better than the actual taste.

The only time I liked cinnamon was when my sister used a stick of it in spaghetti sauce she made...greek style. It was great!

Throwing cinnamon into or onto something, I can NEVER get it right. It's always too much. So I pretty much don't like it and don't use it.

Cinnamon is great! I take cinnamon pills every evening because it's supposed to be helpful in fighting off type 2 diabetes. I enjoy it in breads and cookies and on toast, and in spaghetti sauce.

A Russian lady I used to work with, once saw me chewing Big Red gum, though and warned me against it, saying that there was an old wives' saying in Russia that cinnamon puts a man on a horse, and puts a woman in her grave. (In other words, cinnamon makes men virile, but kills women.)

I still tempt the Grim Reaper, every day!

I love Cinnamon but I checked lite user. This is only because compared to my DH, I don't use any. He puts so much in his cappuccino that I want to gag.

Has your wife never looked at the line at any of the cinnamon bun places at the mall. They are always full of women.

Looooove cinnamon, and pretty much every man I know does as well.

I'm a woman. I like cinnamon in recipes that call for it, but I don't go crazy over it. DH eats anything I make with cinnamon, but does not go crazy over it in any way. Can I just vote "indifferent">:)

Yeah, the poll isn't breaking my wife's way, eh? :)

What if he didn't know cinnamon was an ingredient? I don't think I've ever used more than 1 tablespoon in anything I've baked. Would he really know?
