Memory Rebates

Unfortunately, I think SanDisk smartened up, because the rebates this go-round (as well as the last one too) are not as good as they were when I bought my cards in Fall of 08.

When I purchased them from Adorama in October, the 4GB Extreme III SD cards were $35 each and if you purchased 3 you got $75 in rebates back, making the cards $10 each.

Now, they are $35 each with $60 in rebates back, making them $15 each.

Still a great deal, just disappointed it isn't $75 anymore. Every dollar counts!! :goodvibes

Yeah I noticed that too. I picked up a few anyways. Still better than full price.

For those that like the high speed Lexar cards here is a current good deal

Be very diligent in checking the status of the Sandisk rebates. I had heard reports of mishandling and rejecting submissions and mine was no exception. I always follow rebate instructions to the T but still had a problem with a couple for Sandisk last year. After nearly 3 months of waiting and watching the status not change, I called them and the rep could not explain what was happening. So, he took my info over the phone and I had the rebates in about another month. Not saying it happens in every case, but just stay on top of it. In my case, it was $100 worth of rebates so I didn't want that to get away.

I bought three 8 GB Sandisk CF cards in March. Just got the $80 rebate last week. Spent it already too. :) I bought the cards for our last WDW trip so I would not have to download photos from camera like I had to do on the previous trip.

Only some stores had these rebates though.

Later,
Dan
