We are going to WDW next week with a big family group... Can other family members get photos put on my memory maker if they are linked as family and friends in my account?? Do I have to be with them or will their magic bands automatically link their photos even without me there?? Or do we all have to purchase our own memory makers??

Yes they can get photos on your account. However, in addition to being linked as friends and family, they also need to give you permission to view/purchase their photos.

Their magic band will automatically link their photos without you there. They will have their own account also (automatically).

Only one MM will need to be purchased. HOWEVER, only the person who owns the MM entitlement will be able to view/edit the ride photos and make edits on the photos that will be downloaded. The people who do not own the MM will still be able to make edits, but they will NOT show in the MM account to download.

Thanks... Are there a limit to the number of people linked to get all the photos?? Like when we ride rides esp RNR coaster there will be many of us on different cars... Will it put each of our photos on there if we take up nearly the whole train?? Lol. And does it link automatically or do we have to stop at the register to get them loaded.

I was just there last week and it is still unclear to me how the bands worked. I had all the people in my party set up the same way in Friends and Family and gave them all permission to view and edit photos, yet some people's photos automatically showed up in my account and others' stayed in their own account and not on mine, which is the downloadable account. I ended up taking everyone's bands to a Photopass Center on the last day and linking them all to mine so we were sure to have all the photos.

I also did not realize that only the photos edited on my account as the manager are the ones that will download until I read it here on the DIS. I assumed that when it say "can view and edit photos", it meant they all carried over to the download. That is a big mistake. Glad I saw it or we could have been out a lot of edits.

I don't think there is a limit to the number of people linked to get photos.

When you ride rides, it will put photos of each of the cars into the account. We had 8 people, but there are only a few rides that ALL of us can ride. With Buzz for instance, we ended up with 8 pictures for each time we rode - 2 of each car. With Splash, we ended up with only one photo (since everyone was in the same car).

They do link automatically! I would check them periodically (like every day or so) to make suret that you have all of the photos you think you should, so you can call and have them added if they aren't there (while you still have a good idea as to when they were taken). I only had a problem with one ride photo, though, and it somehow linked the car in front of one of ours on RNR. It was easily fixed with a phone call, though.

what if you are not using the bands will the tickets work in the same way.

Ok. One more question... If I ordered memory maker is there anything else I need to do... Do we just go and start taking photos?? Do we have to activate it or anything?!
