Has anyone used this service? The details are vague online, what are the benefits? Does it Include ride photos?

Yes.
MM includes ride photos and the dining photos as well as the photo pass photographer photos. It is all digital and all downloads. No hard copies and no CD. I know if you look you can find which rides have attraction photos and which dining places do.

My DH and I used it in Feb. It was easy to use. For the ride photos, just tell the CM you have the memory maker and then the numbers for your photo. The CM pulls it up and then asks you to scan your MB or MM card. We didn't use it for any dinner photos, but it was very convenient to have it all on my MB instead of digging for the PP card.

I agree that the information online is vague. We used the Photopass+ in the past. We received a Photopass+ card that we could use at certain rides to have our ride pictures added. This worked out great for us because my husband and I could hand off the Photpass+ card to each other. He'd go on the Rock 'n Roller coaster with our older son while I did something else with our younger son. He'd have the Photopass+ card with him so after the ride he could give the cast member their ride photo number and have the photo added to the Photopass+ card. Then later when I rode Tower of Terror with our older son and my husband did something else with our younger son, I had the Photopass+ card and could add our ride photo to the Photopass+ card.

It sounds like the Memory Maker will be added to one person's magic band so that person would have to be present at any of the ride attractions in order to have those ride photos added to our Memory Maker. Does anyone know for sure if this is true or not?

I also have a question about memory maker. How long is the window that you can have pictures added? Here's my situation, I am going to SSW on 5/30 - 6/1 and then again from 7/1 - 7/11. I understand that the pictures uploaded to the memory make will expire after 45 days, but how long does the account accept pictures?

If I purchase memory maker before the first trip, will it still be available to ADD pictures to for the second? (it will still be within the download window, but I'm assuming that is different) or will I have to purchase it again for the second trip?

It sounds like the Memory Maker will be added to one person's magic band so that person would have to be present at any of the ride attractions in order to have those ride photos added to our Memory Maker. Does anyone know for sure if this is true or not?

I am wondering the same thing. We use rider swap and I would hate to have to be there to scan my band when I didn't ride the ride.

I have been going back and forth on buying this as well. We will be at Disney from Oct 30th -Nov 4th and I would love to have our pictures taken but there will be 6 of us me my DH, eldest daughter and her fiance and our twins who are 7. I guess my questions is if I am not with them can they still take the pictures and or scan their band at a ride or dinner will they be on my MDE? and if so can I download them when I get home

It is my understanding from previous posts on here that anyone that is listed on your friends and family can scan their band. The person in charge of the Memory Maker is the only one that can download the pictures.

Thank you, That is what I was figuring. We are having breakfast at Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and we are doing dinner at BOG and dinner at T-Rex do they only have pictures at the breakfast, and if so the pictures I get there can I scan my MB so it can be pur into my MM or do they still give you the printed pictures because its included with the meal?

It is my understanding from previous posts on here that anyone that is listed on your friends and family can scan their band. The person in charge of the Memory Maker is the only one that can download the pictures.

It is also possible to add pics to a card and then hand that card to anyone going off from the group and add that card to the memory maker.

We liked MM for the most part. A few glitches with photos not showing up but OK in the end. Tell the photo pass photographers you have MM and they will often take some special edge if photos ( think holding Simba at AK). Some of ours turned out really cute!

1. Are the pictures from character meals included in the cost? We have reservations at TUsker a House, Cape May, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey, and Arkushus and it would be great if we didn't have to purchase additional pictures.


2. Do we get rights to print the photos that get downloaded ourselves? I know all the pictures are digital but I obviously would love to have some of them on my walls.

We did Akershus in February and got both. The printed package comes with the breakfast and the digital shots were put onto the magic band.

1. Yes. There is a list of which specific ones are included. I believe some aren't but not 100% sure.

2. Yes. There is a waiver that Disney includes with your DL.

1. We used it last week. We had a lunch at Tusker House and Akershus. Both sets are on our MM account and we got prints at Akershus. We were given the option to buy the prints at Tusker House (and Spirit of Aloha and HDDR).

I was the main person, so I had to log in to see the pictures. But, all of us could have our band scanned for any picture. DS9 rode a few times on his own and got his ride photo included without a problem.
