Memory Maker

I was on the MDE site and saw where they are now promoting the Memory Maker option for photos. Seems like it is just like Photopass +. There doesn't seem to be a regular photopass option anymore. Cost is $149 in advance.

When reading through the description, it seemed to list everything PP+ had, except the DVD. It says photos can be downloaded. But I usually get tons of photos and don't want to have to sit and individually download 100+ photos. Does anyone know if the photo CD will still be provided?

That is a very good question. Only a hundred? My account has 1498 (we had 452 before edits). We were before the change though. They have still been doing the CD (actually they now send a DVD instead of the CD which was a nice surprise- as instead of getting a bunch of CDs last week like we used to, we got 1 DVD), since the change to the new website. Maybe they will continue to do that now? I can't imagine having to download about 1500 photos from their horribly glitchy new website! Don't get me started on how many issues I had with the website and how much trouble I had trying to make a photobook! I read over the memory maker stuff and watched their video on it, and it sure looks like photopass with a new name. The video even talks about putting any photopass cards you get on your account.

This makes it sound like the answer to whether there are still DVD/CDs is no though:

...but again to me digital includes CD and DVD, and products would be paper prints, so I don't think the answer to the question is clear.


Plus I just watched the memory maker video again and at 1:08 into the video when they are scanning down the memory maker webpage, you can see the button on the side that says "claim photo archive disc". As such, if their video is accurate, the disc is still an option.
