Memory Maker...What are they Sending Me???

Ok, I don't mean to sound stupid, but I purchased Memory Maker today, and it's being shipped to my house on the 26th. What am I receiving? I thought it was something linked to my Magic Band for pictures...I obviously thought it was invisible...is it a card like PhotoPass???

Beats me. I purchased MM the other day and it didn't say it was sending me anything. I got a confirmation email thanking me for my purchase and instructions on how to activate it.

We got ours last week, and ours was the same. I also thought it would just be linked to our bands.

You receive a "Memory Maker" card, similar to what used to be a photopass card. If you want, you can have the photographers scan that card instead of the magic band. There is no charge for having the card shipped, just choose the shipping option at check-out. You can still link the entitlement to your magic band as well.

I wanted to have the card as well so that the card can "travel" among our party. Normally, only one person's magic band has the entitlement to scan the ride photos into the account. This way, the Memory Maker card can also be used and can scan ride photos when we have split up. (At least, this is my theory. Just for clarification, I have not tested this theory, but it seems to be legit!)

Remember that anyone can have a photographer scan their magic band and have their photos show up their account. With purchasing Memory Maker, you've purchased the right to download any of the pictures in YOUR account. You are able to share pictures located in family and friends accounts to yours and download them as well. (This is why we've decided to just scan my band or the card... it will make it so much easier to keep track of where the photos are going! Less "sharing" later... and less chances of missing any!)

Anyone can scan the photos, memory maker is the person who downloads. If they're attached to your account or you're managing them. The memory maker doesn't have to be present to get ride photos. You're thinking of PhotoPass + but that's not true with MM

Additionally, they need to have "allow xxxxx to view and purchase my photo pass photos" turned on for you and you can download their photos with memory maker!

I ordered MM with our package for July. I didn't see where it said they would send me anything. Will it come with all our documents? Do we have to activate it in any way like we did with PP+? I have linked all our family members on my account and it says they can view the MM pictures.

Go to 'my reservations' and at the very bottom there is a memory maker section. You should see it and it will say who has download privlidges. If you don't see it make sure your resort reservation is linked. When linked your magic bands are what you'll use for MM, not activation required. Also, if your family has their own MDX accounts they need turn YOU on for viewing photopass on their account.
