Memory Maker share question

I am incredibly cheap, so a memory maker share sounds great to me. Luckily, three groups of family members are going at different times throughout September.

I've purchased the memory maker and started add the family members to my MDE account, but have one question. One group has several family members managed under one account. How do I tie them all into my MDE? Do they all need to register separate accounts/emails, or can I add multiple accounts under the same primary email address?

You are cheap but clever. Just grab one of their magic bands and use it for pictures.

I figured it out. Had to use the app to add everybody managed by the single account... Got an error every time through the website

One last question... I have all the family members linked to my MDE. Since some are managed by another account they say "xxx cannot view your plans or photos".

Will photos they take with their magic bands still show up in my Memory Maker?

I agree - bring one of their magic bands. We had a friends magic band last year and it never occurred to us that we would show up in their memory maker account.

Just to be clear, I'm the one who purchased memory maker. We all have magic bands but will be there on different dates, and are in 3 separate MDE groups but all linked as friends and family. I just want to know if people on my friends list that say "cannot view your plans or photos" will still have their photos show up on my memory maker.

do you have any idea how long Memory Maker stays active?

This one I know... it stays active for 30 days after your first download, and pictures expire after 45 days.

Go in to each account and check the box under each person in the Friends and Family list to be sure they can see and share photos. Make sure it's also set so you can see only shared plans, vs all plans.

This doesn't seem to be an option. It just says they are managed by another Disney account... the only check box available for these is "This friend travels with me often."

I think when you are "family and friends" with another traveler and THEY manage other people (like their kids or spouse without an MDE account) the person who manages them has to select the proper settings in MDE for the people he/she manages.

I find Disney IT people very helpful and I'd give them a call to make sure everyone is set up right if I were you. MM is awesome when it captures everyone, but you don't want to lose once-in-lifetime shots just because a setting was wrong.

Right, you must go in to each managing MDE account for each person who "owns" or manages that friend or family and check the box on that account.
