We purchased a Memory Maker pass this last Sept for an upcoming October trip. We needed to buy new Annual Passes and was just reviewing the new offerings with the AP. Since we will be getting the Platinum Plus AP it includes the photo download option this leaves us with a $170 Memory Maker pass that we aren't going to use. I called the DVC Member Services and they suggested that we go to Guest Services when we arrive at the park and request a refund. They went on to say that there isn't a hard fast Disney policy on this refund so there isn't a guarantee that we'll get it. Has anyone else attempted this? I can see running into one of those situations where one cast member will give the refund and the next will not with this sort of soft policy. I hate having to be the squeaky wheel for for $170 I think it might be justified.
