Memory Maker: questions from first-timer about sharing with friends

Hello! My family and another family will be sharing a Memory Maker account. I am starting to understand the basics of how we will access the photos once we get home, but I have a few questions I can't find answers to on the Disney website:

• I am the one who is the administrator, so to speak, of the account. I am friends with the mom of the other family in MDE. When I try to become friends with her other family members, I get an error message. Is being friends with her enough, or do I need to call Disney to resolve this error problem?
• I already purchased the Memory Maker, but when I look at my MDE it does not show up under "PhotoPass." Should it?
• Is there anything we need to do so that the other family's photos will show up in our account when they are not with us?
• Is there something I need to do to activate the Memory Maker?
• And finally, it says something in the PhotoPass section about typing in Magic Band numbers. Do I need to do that if our Magic Bands are already linked to our MDE accounts?

1) might depend on how that family/room is set up. Is the mom the only one with an MDE account and the rest of the family owned by her? (If so, being linked to her is sufficient) Or do multiple people in that family have MDE accounts? (If this is the case, you do want to be friends with each person who has an account)
2) I don't think I ever looked on th Photopass page for MM. I did see MM with a confirmation # on my MDE page with all my hotel detail and confirmation info. (Sorry, can't specify exactly what page/tab since I don't have a current reservation with it now). If you see MM confirmation # anywhere in your MDE I think you're good to go.
3) for every person who has their own MDE account, you need to make sure you appear in each other's Friends and Family list. You also need to go into each Friend's profile/preferences and make sure you have chosen "this person can view and purchase my photos". This is a double-sided thing - you need to choose it for your friend Jane AND Jane needs to choose it for you.
4) you do not need to activate. All pictures will show up in your Photopass area and when you return and choose to download, that's when you activate the entitlement by using it to pay for your downloads.
5) when ours said this, we didn't actually have to enter anything - we tried entering in MB numbers because we thought we had to, but (I think because we were linked as family/friends already) it said "this MB is already linked"

IT is very friendly and helpful with this stuff. Personally, even though I know how to set it up, I'd probably still call and ask them to review my account to make sure I was set up right. Overkill, I know, but getting the photos while you're there is a one-time shot! 407-939-7765

The quick answer is, call Photopass services for the tech questions on setting up accounts, linking and activation. You do need to make sure all members of your party and the other party are on your friends/family list. With this complete thier MBs will capture all ride, M&G, PP photos/videos without account administrators being present.

When your accounts are linked you will be able to see the pics they have taken and they (I think) will see the pics you have taken. Take caution, although they can see & edit photos under the thier own account, those edited photos may not show up in your account and therefore would not be included when you do a final download and redeem the MM. Otherwords edit photos under your account.

Also make sure you check photos each day on the website (don't download just view) to make sure all photos were aquired. Sometimes photos go missing. PP services can find photos if it happens but it helps to catch it early.
