Memory Maker Question

I have an unused memory maker in MDE. Does anyone know if that will stay in there indefinitely until I activate it? It has been in there since last October. Somehow I wound up with 2 because of a mistake made while booking the trip we just took this past July. We used one of them, but the other one is still in my account. We probably won’t use it until 2020, as we are planning a resort only stay in 2019.

I would call MS to ask if there is an expiration. If it doesn't list an expiration online then you might be safe with waiting to use it in 2020, but really only they can tell you.

So I have a follow-up question that I just thought of. My sister and her family are heading to WDW in April. We are all linked in MDE from previous trips. When she has photo pass pictures taken, will they “use up” my memory maker that I have assigned to me or would I have to activate the memory maker for that to happen? Just wondering if I need to unlink us during their trip.

It isn't the taking of photos that matters (tons of people who don't have MM get photos taken). It is *downloading* photos that uses the MM. So as long as neither you nor your sister download any photos using your account, you will be fine.
