Memory Maker question

hi all...sorry if this is on the wrong board...


I just added memory maker to our trip. There are ten of us going, am I able to link the memory maker to more than one magic band? I doubt we will be together all the time and would like to be able to access all the photos.

If we can, how do I do it?

Everyone in your group needs to be added as friends and family on your MDE. There is an option when looking at your F&F page under edit where you can allow them to view and purchase your PP photos. Have everyone check that box for each other.

My mom has always been the one to buy MM for the group and we can all add photos with our own bands.

Some of the rides (7 dwarfs mine train, for example) use the long range rfid chips in the magic bands to "automagically" put ride photos and videos onto your memory maker account. Like, on some of the ride photos, there's an option to tap your photo card (if you're using that instead of a band) to get the photos into your account, but 7D doesn't have that option. So, in order to get that particular video and/or picture, you'd need the magic band to receive that content.

Basically, the band has a long range chip in it, while the photo cards do not. It just means that the band chip can be read with their sensors from farther away without having to make direct/close contact to put the photos into your account.

I'm not sure I worded this very clearly, so I hope it makes sense!

As PPs have stated, everyone in your group will be able to capture their photos into one MM purchase whether you are together at the time or not, as long as you're all linked as friends and family. However, it is only the purchaser of the MM who will be able to actually do all the downloading for the included price. At the end of the trip, the purchaser will either have to do all the edits (adding stickers and borders) themselves or share his/her password so each family member can do their own edits. Then the purchaser can either put all the photos onto CDs, thumb drives, or upload to a share site for everyone to get their own copies.

Can anyone buy a magic band to use for the memory maker? We stay off site and bought the MM. I thought it was just for resort guests. Tia

Resort guests get them for free (although there are specialty ones available for purchase) but anyone can buy them.
