memory maker question

So I found where I can purchase the Memory maker on MDE, but when I get to the screen where it asks the user I can only click one person. If I just click my self will the other 7 in my party gets to use it also? We're already linked on MDE? TIA

That one person is just the one who's in charge of the MM, which basically just means that they're the only person who can do edits on the pictures and is also the only one who can download the pictures. Anyone who is on the Friends and Family list of that person will have their pictures included.

As long as you are linked to the others in your traveling party, they would be able to scan their MBs to get the photos into your MM. Only one person will be able to manage and download the pictures.

Jumping on with another question: we pre-purchased and I just received the card in the mail. The memory maker already "magically" appeared on my MDE account. Do I need to do anything with the card or is that just a backup? Do we need to do anything at the park to get this activated, or are we good to go?

Just a note - when I purchased the MM all of my family and friends were allowed to see and download the photos.

The card is just a back up. Not everyone who orders MM has a MB so they send the card in case you are off site. If you see it in MDE then you are good to go with just your band.

Yes if they'll ever be away from the group and want photos. If y'all we always be together there is no need to give them the card.

Sorry to hijack the thread!! I ordered memory maker after our initial reservation was made, but prior to magic bands arriving. I recorded the card in the mail. We just recently received our magic bands. How do I make sure MM is linked to our bands? Can I do this via the app?

Bands are linked to your account. If Memory Maker show up in your account, then it will work.

To follow up on this so I am clear. I booked for our whole group with each room in our reservation having a separate reservation number. I linked us all for FASTPASS for example. With memory maker, if I buy it can I link anyone (everyone in our group) so they can all use their magic bands when getting pictures so that I can see and download all of the pictures within 45 days of the trip?

On a related note, if I don't buy memory maker but we get a picture taken at a ride or a meet & greet is there a way to individually purchase those photos (perhaps even a print at the ride for example) if we like what we see and download them after the trip? How much are photos typically if bought individually?

I don't see us having a ton of pictures taken by Disney cast members and the price seems kind of steep but I could see where we might want one or two group shots, etc.

1. I thought they sent one to anyone who orders MM automatically. If not, just get one from a PhotoPass photographer when you have a picture taken.

1. Or the card, yes.

2. Magic Bands are just a means to access the information on the MDE account. If Memory Maker is in the MDE account, the Magic Bands can access it.
