Memory Maker Opinions

Was wondering if anyone could tell me the good and bad about their experience with memorymaker and if it was worth it for them.. We will be going this Sept. so i would like to make my decision beforehand to get the 50 dollar discount.I thank everyone in advance for their opinions. I already tried a search and didn't find much

Try a search again.... I am certain there have been recent thread in this.

The long and short of it is that "worth it" is a very personal opinion. What is "worth it" to me might not be to you.

Generally.... I'd say if you have not been in a while or plan to go in a while it is generally worth it. I didn't ever get ride attractions but now with MM we do and I love how they add to the memories of the trip. Do you think you will make a photo book? Then probably worth it. I also like to be in the pics and I don't always like to inconvenience someone or bother to have the PP person take a pic with my camera (they will though). I just like to walk up, smile and tap my Mickey band and go. So again, to me, it is worth it.

The individual pics are very expensive so if you think you might buy a few... It's often better to dive in and get MM as a few night turn into a lot once you start seeing some great pics!

You can order the photo cd, which is like the old photo pass disc, but you don't get the ride photos. It's cheaper than MM

We've done the photo pass CD in the past...and many other times decided against it.

When we bought the CD, it was on trips with extended family. We went out of our way to take a lot of photos. Kids were younger so there were several character meals, photos in front of each theme park icon, even pics at the waterparks.

Now that our kids are older and our travel party rarely changes, we don't see much reason to spend the extra money on photos. Our Disney Visa cards get us a couple free character prints. That...plus photos taken with our own camera...is good enough for me.

We pre-ordered MM for our extended family visit this past May. I received lots of "thumbs-up" from the family members who LOVED adding ride photos or getting pro-shots from the PhotoPass photographers. Downloading the final package on our return was easy.

Overall, I give it "TWO THUMBS UP" for our "once in a lifetime" trip with the extended family and friends.

It's worth it if you are the type to stop often and get your picture taken when you see a Photographer.. you will have more photos of the entire group this way. Note that Memory Maker allows you to download all the pictures - you do not get a CD any more.

I ordered MM for my trip in May with some friends. I'd give it 2 thumbs up as well. I wouldn't necessarily order it every trip, but I found it very worthwhile. An added advantage is that the ride photos are now automatically added to your account so that you don't even need to stop at the counter to get them anymore.

In the past we have at times done the picture package but most times not. Since it had been awhile, we did it on our last visit. We made sure to stop and get pictures. We also really liked that our ride photos were put on the pass!! In the past we had purchased some of these because of the funny faces or expressions we were making etc... So to have these on MM was really cool for us!! I have to say some of these pics are so funny!

We will probably purchase it again this Nov. because we have extended family coming including my niece and nephew who have never been!! If they were not all coming we would probably skip it for the next few trips.
