My husband is military so our plan is to purchase the memory maker at the Guest Relations window when arrive to MK the first morning. But, I don’t want to miss the 8:55am welcome show. How much time should we anticipate the Guests Relations window taking? I was estimating hopefully not more than 15minutes? We have no reference, haven’t been to MK is decades. Thanks!

You don't have to purchase it first thing, it's retroactive and includes photos already captured. So, if you don't need to pick up or activate tickets, just wait until later.

I'd never recommend wasting your time at MK Guest Relations or ticket booths (which also sell the military MM) first thing in the morning if you don't have to.

Is that the first day you also arrive? We usually make a stop to one of the ticket booths or guest relations the night before we plan to be in the parks to activate tickets and other things we need done.

As others have said, you can wait, but if you want to do it first thing, I'd be at MK by 8:00 and head over to Guest Relations. Only one of you needs to go (with military ID). Once you are with a person, it takes less than 10 minutes. The earlier you get to MK, the sooner you'll have it done, and you don't have to risk missing the opening show.

Really, that is awesome! So even if we wait until the 2nd day it will still have all the photos from the day before?

Yes. The military memory maker has no requirement to be purchased even a little bit ahead of time, since it's only available on site anyway. You could buy it on day 10 of a trip and still get all the pics and videos.

If you have armed forces salute ticket vouchers to exchange for tickets at the ticket window, they can sell you the military discount Memory Maker there, at the same time.

Any of you all have advice as to what time to leave SOG to walk to monorail to MK to see the 8:55 opening ceremony? We are not “rope dropping” any of the big rides so not concerned with getting in line on one of the hub spokes. Just think my little kids will like the brief opening ceremony. I was thinking leaving SOG at 7:45/8am? But I have also read the monorail may not even be running until 8:30 for an 9:00am park opening? We already have our tickets on our magic bands.

Try to find out the Poly boat and the TTC Ferry schedule - would be a good backup to the monorail. But something is running for Pre Park Opening ADRs.

I think you want to be at Poly for 8ish - that should put you at MK entrance by 8:20 and thru security hopefully by 8:40 with a few minutes time to stroll down Main Street!

The Poly boat launch looks like it is a closer walk than the TTC too!
