Memory Maker, is it worth it?

To us, the MM is totally worth it. We just love to take pictures around WDW, but love that we don't have to pull out our cameras every time we want a picture. We also go during the MVMCP and get the special character M&Gs. Last year we took more than 400 pictures and got about 450 pictures downloaded. So it was less than a dollar a picture. It is only worth it if you take the time and get pictures. It also includes the ride photos and the little movie clip from 7DMT and ToT.

I agree with PP I received about 500 pics included were character meal pics and ride pics. It was a family trip with grandparents so they were able to have pics as well. Being able to personalize with Disney embelishments was nice too and I was able to print at my local pharmacy. Worked for us.

I think it is for sure - the photographers are always great and capture wonderful shots (especially during character meets) - plus, you get the ride video from Tower of Terror included with the MM, which totally makes it worth it for me!

It's completely worth it! I'm not bringing my camera this time and I don't have to worry about overloading my camera phone either.

Yes! We didn't get it last year and really regretted it. Next year I have already worked it into the budget

If you get at least 10-15 good pictures out of it, it's definitely worth it. We always had the Photopass photographer take a picture with our camera as well, but then sometimes they got a better shot (or the "magic" pic with Tinkerbell, Stitch, Sven, etc.) and we ended up buying that anyway (at a too high price). And with little ones (ages 4 and 2) if you get a great shot it's pretty lucky.

We travel with a big group (15+) and if you are all linked everyone can view the pictures (although only the purchaser can download but just download big zip files) and spread the cost out among all of us. Really worth it.

Memory Maker is worth it now it is on your magic band. Every trip we get LOTS OF PICTURES. And Parenets Always take picture and with Memory Maker everyone can be in the picture. And there cool magic picture that kids love. Some photographers do special pictures. Photographers are in all Disney World parks. IT WORTH IT!!!!:tinker::earsboy::earsboy::earsboy::stitch::figment::mickeyjum:dumbo::maleficen

We didn't get it for our trip and I worried the whole time that I would regret not purchasing it, but honestly, when I got home and reviewed their pictures, there were only 3 or 4 that I really liked. But really we just had them taking our pics for meeting characters. If you plan on stopping to take pictures often, it might be a good idea.

Only if your family members will pose for pictures! Lol. Mine wouldn't even after I told them they had to. The ride pictures make it worh it though.

we got it and were really happy. we had a young girl take a photo of our whole family 2 days before we our holiday ended and she broke our camera. :(
so those were only photos we had from our last two days. and as someone previously mentioned, it's nice that we can get some family pics with *all* of us in it.
i wouldn't hesitate to do it again and the ride photos are really fun!

I have a question, if you have memory maker does that include getting physical pictures at one of the kiosks or just the ability to download and print them at home?

You do not get physical print with Memory maker.

Another question...we have a short weekend trip planned. Haven't bought Memory Maker for this trip because it's such a quick trip, but we have a young friend coming and it will be her first visit. Do the ride photos/videos automatically get added to your photopass account for purchase regardless of whether you have Memory Maker or are they ONLY available if you've purchased Memory Maker?

I believe they can be added regardless of a memory maker purchase. Some attractions require to scan a MB while other attractions use long range RFID to detect and automatically add to your MDX account.

We LOVE MM...the ride pics and videos are worth it in itself. Took 3 teenagers last year and no complaining at all....especially the boys with the cute princesses. As soon as we get home, we order prints and start reliving the trip again.

I'm glad to hear most, if not all, agree with purchasing MM. Our first trip is coming up, and we decided to go for the MM.

We are going with MM in the Fall. We plan to minimize the amount of times we take out our cell phones and carry a camera. I love taking pictures so it is going to be hard for me, however, I will finally be in the picture for the memories.

I think it is. Everytime we would go to Disneyland I always purchased it and I'm a photographer. I give them my camera (oh please be careful) lol and they use mine but we always want them to use their own. Why? I like to have the Magic Shots, the borders, signatures, etc that I can add and just additional fun things. I also like that the ride photos and dining photos are included. And now with videos too. It's worth it to me. And Lord knows I come home with hundreds of pics. I can only imagine the 1st WDW trip this year. I'll have thousands and editing for weeks!
