Memory Maker help

I bought Memory Maker last week for our trip in October and from what I understood (or thought I did), it links to our Magic Band. I see it on there so I know it worked, however, today we got a Memory Maker card in the mail? I'm confused about why? Help!

I think it is a "just in case". i brought mine to the parks in March but didn't need them. The link to the Magic Bands worked very well.

I got a card last year, too. I would imagine it's for people who purchase it that do not have Magic Bands. I brought it along with me just in case, but I never used it or needed it.
