Memory Maker (formerly Photopass and Photopass+) & multiple groups

Ohh just remembered - in my conversation with the CM's regarding Memory Maker, they said that ride photos could only be claimed with the memory maker card or the designated magic band. Have people found this to be the case or can any band linked to the account with memory maker claim them, as with pictures from photopass photographers?

We just returned from a trip with 11 people who were all linked to my account. Everyone was able to use their own Magic Band for all pictures including the rides. We were a little concerned that it would not work so we checked our pictures daily. Sometimes it took longer for the pictures to be downloaded and other times it was almost done instantly. We did not lose any pictures taken that were scanned by everyone's bands.
We did not do any character meals so I cannot comment on those.
Our only disappointment was there was no photopass photographer at the Tomorrowland Terrace fireworks dessert party as in previous visits.

We are planning our trip now for June. We have never been to WDW before. As a surprise my DH bought me the MM. I love to scrapbook so he thought that would be nice for us to have. I agree. However I'm still a little confused by it all. We are staying at the Swan and Dolphin. I recived my MM card in the mail today with NO directions on how it worksDo the CM scan info onto the card and then I look at it online at night to make sure the pictures are on there? Help please!

Memory maker seems to be a huge controversy and obviously so with the vibe I get from the thread. It kills me because I was literally just speaking to a CM and they told me something halfway different...I suppose I just need to look at FAQ on Disney this is so complicated!!

No controversy, really. What did the CM tell you that was different from the info posted here?
