Memory maker for seven people staying offsite

Hello,

Considering buying the memory maker...if we are two families staying offsite, can we get it and have more than one card to scan the pics? What about the ride photos? How do we get those if we do not have magi bands?

This is probably the biggest reason we booked a throwaway. We have MM for our upcoming trip, and I know our group of 11 (my family plus my sister's) will split up into 2-5 groups at any given time. It was more cost effective to get a throwaway for magic bands than to buy them ala carte. (not looking for a throwaway debate here, suffice to say not everyone books a throwaway for FP+)

We had a family of 6 just there over the Christmas holidays. We stayed offsite at DTD Hilton and was able to get the Mm package. It does not have to be linked to magic bands. Ours were linking to our ticket cards. We had the option to purchase a magic band once we arrived at Disney and have a CM link the MM to them but totally not necessary. We had no problems using the card at all! Loved all the ride photos and the magic shots!!

For seven dwarfs, you will not get a ride photo without magic bands because they have no photo viewing station at the end to get your photo number. At other rides, stop at the photo viewing booths and have the cast member scan your card to capture the photos. The photo spots are easy to find after each ride because they're trying to get your attention and entice a la carte buyers.

Are the ride photos only available as an add on to the memory maker or can you just have the ride photos?

If you have MagicBands, the ride photos will show up in your MDE account even if you don't have Memory Maker, but, they don't show up if you do not have MagicBands.

Definitely read the Throwaway Room Thread because without MagicBands, you will not have any access to your 7DMT photos and videos.

Our situation is a little different. My DD is going with her band. She and her friends are on one MDE and DH and I are on a different one. They will not have magic bands. If I purchase the Memory maker under my MDE, can they just get photo pass cards and have me enter them into the account? I understand that I can be the only one to download.
