Hi!

My head hurts ~ I have Memory Maker for our upcoming trip. I've used it before, but just for my immediate family. Now we are traveling with 5 other families!

We are all linked in My Disney Experience for reservations & FP+.

I know that they can access MY pictures at the end of our trip, but will they be able to have their bands scanned and their pictures loaded into MY Memory Maker?

Also, if I am in MK one day with my family, and another family is in AK that same day, their pictures will be loaded into my Memory Maker?

Thanks!

The general answer is yes. If everyone in your party is linked with the entitlement holder, their pictures will show up on your memory maker. We split up often, even at different parks and all the pictures show up. It was so fun to look at the pictures and see what everyone else had been up to all day when we split up.

I would make sure after any attractions with MM that you scan the Mickey head under your photo. In theory it should be automatic because of the RFID technology but as far as I remember every ride photo screen will have a Mickey Head under it. I would scan someone in each car's band just to be safe. The RFID technology isn't perfect and does lose pictures. I have never had a picture I manually scanned show up.

The accounts don't only have to be linked but each person must give the you viewing and purchasing rights to their photopass pics. On everyone's friends and family page that will be scanning pictures you should be listed. Next to your name they should see "Can view and Purchase your photopass photos" if you don't see that then have them click edit next to your name and check that option under share photopass photos. This can also be done after your trip should you find someone's photos are not showing up as long as the photos aren't expired (my friend didn't have that option checked on our trip that just ended so I texted her to change the option and her photos showed up)

I read something about ride photos not being available without MM, is that true? We have a big group going and would like to do one MM but we want all the ride photos for everyone.

I went with a group of 31 people in April. I had the ownership of the memory maker. Once all the accounts were linked to me, and they all gave permission to share, their photos, they all "magically" showed up on my account. I claimed my MM package and was able to download all of them. The ride photos were the tricky ones...since I had the MM card. Some of them heard me say, to get your ride photos, tap your ticket (only a few had bands, we all stayed offsite...) to the green Mickey ball thing to link your photo to your ticket. Those that did had their ride photos, those who forgot, well, didn't...

All in, I claimed over 2200 photos! Well worth the $149! Bought it before the price went up!

Thanks, PurpleKomodo!

But, if that's the general answer, is there anything else that I need to know?
You will be the only person who can download the pictures. In order to avoid accidental deletion I always download a master copy before people start editing them. In fact, they will only be able to edit the versions that they want to buy. They won't be able to see your edited photos either. You will have to seen them their photos, including the ride photos, if they want a set. The files are big, especially the ride videos. It was easiest for them to have the actual MDE log in so that they could log in as me and download their own set of photos. All the downloads are listed so that if you edit or delete a photo that you want back again you can find it in an earlier download.
