Memory Maker during trip

i am not planning on pre purchasing memory maker. I do not usually use this service so I never worry about it. However, we are running the Dark Side Half Marathon and the pics will be on memory maker. What I want to know is if we do the race and then say 2 days into our trip if we buy MM (yes at 169) will it have the start of my trip or will it only begin when I purchase it.

Hey @garneska, fancy meeting you here ;-) Yes, they will be included. The only time they aren't included is if they are expired (let's say I went a month or more before that, photos expire 45 days after they are taken so as long as I'm in that window, I could download them). All photos have to be downloaded before they expire, even if you purchased memory maker. If you do the pre-purchase, it doesn't include any pictures taken 3 days before you complete the pre-purchase.

From the WDW site:

Photos that are linked to your Disney account—and have not expired—are included in your Memory Maker entitlement if you purchased Memory Maker at the regular purchase price. However, if you purchased Memory Maker at the advance purchase price, any photos taken within 3 days of the date of purchase are not included.

Thanks @Bishoparc. I was thinking of posting over in camping. That is exactly what I was looking for. I honestly have no idea if we will take more than two pics so I am not interested in pre purchasing, but if at the race we take a lot and want them, it may be cheaper to buy MM than individual pictures. We are not really picture takers so I still may only want to buy a couple and then individually will be cheaper.

I usually do MM at least once a year just to have some good Disney pics for that year. I guess when we renew our AP's this year it will be included (although the AP prices have gone up considerably).

Agreed which is kind of a downer, my next trip I will have to renew the APs and will just get MM. I really did not want to pay for it this trip, but with Disney doing the race photos thought it may be worth it.

Double check that your run photos will be in MM. I've done a DisneyRun and the pics were a separate package. Not on MM.

I believe this is a very recent change.

If so that's great. Always wondered why they were different but then agian it's Disney so...

I was going to renew my AP again but just visiting once this year so bought a hopper. It worked out cheaper to purchase MM on its own as would have been double to renew AP. I am just getting MM for the run disney pics too
