Hi all, last time I was at Disney the only ride that allowed you to put the picture on your photopass was Test Track. I just read on the website that you can add ride photos. Is it for all the rides that take pictures or only certain ones?

TIA!!

It's different with Memory Maker now. All the rides that offer a photo will put them on. It's built into the price.

Also, the technology is built right in on some (if not all, by now?) of the rides. You don't even have to claim your photo or video - they just show up in your account.

Magic band registers you for the pic automatically. If you're not using a mb you have to have it added.

how do they know what car you are on?

Also, if there are three of us (me, wife, son) who end up on two different cars, do pics of both cars get added to our account? (no, I'm not sure what ride this could be, just thinking aloud)

thanks!

RFID technology in the band and readers at the ride. Yes two different cars you will get both pics. For example DS and DH ride in once car for everest and I ride in the one behind them we all get pics.

Havent been in a few years, so I assume there is no more sharing of photo passes?

I had Memory Maker last September and occasionally my ride photos didn't show up and one Space Mountain ride I was at the front of the second car but the pic was of the first car so only my feet were showing. I believe you can scan your MB where the pictures are shown just to make sure they get added

Last fall we were at WDW for 9 days and had the Memory Maker. Sometimes we did "claim" the ride photo after getting off the ride, sometimes we didn't and just assumed it was automatically sent to our MM account like it's supposed to. When we got home we noticed that at least 50% of our photopass photos were missing including a lot of the ride photos. :( BUT, I contacted Disney and gave them the times of our 3 scheduled Fastpasses for each day and they were able to find the missing photos. :)

I don't think a magicband is necessary, I had a pic in my account just from scanning my ticket one time

The automatic addition only works about half the time as a PP mentioned. I would scan a band or ticket each time to claim the photo to make sure you get it. Anyone on your My Family and Friends list in your MDE account can add photos. If they have their own MDE account you have to make sure they have permission to do this by clicking edit to the right of their name.

Can you tell me how to "claim" a photo with your magic band as you exit the ride? Thanks

If you have a magic band you shouldn't have to "claim" your photo, but as other posters have mentioned the system is not perfect. If you you want to be sure that the photo is added to your photopass account, there is a mickey head scan terminal below each photo in the photo viewing areas as you exit the participating rides. just tap your MB below the photo you want to have added. Note: Seven Dwarves Mine Train does not have a terminal or photo viewing area, photos are only added automatically.

These are the rides that have pictures:
Seven Dwarves Mine Train (+ video)
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (+ video)
Rock ‘n Roller Coaster
Expedition Everest
Dinosaur

Not 100% sure what you mean by sharing. If you have Memory maker, you can decide who can view your photos. Guests who can view your photos can also buy them.

On the Disney Map I printed from their site for Studios, I see a "Nikon picture spot" icon...what is this?
thanks for your other replies, too!:earsboy:
