Memory Cards at the Airport

I am bringing 4 memory cards. Do I have them hand scanned at the airport or can they go thru xray?

They can go through X-Ray. DON'T PUT THEM IN CHECKED LUGGAGE, not an X-Ray issue but rather a theft issue.

Sorry....memory cards for the digital camera. I actually have a HUGE ziplock baggie with everything that I can think of that we would have to toss in a bin at the airport security....mickey pins, nail clippers, memory cards, camera, camera dock, etc. I hate to fumble witht hat stuff. I just didn't know if the xray machine would hurt the digital camera memory card.

Our digital camera uses the SD memory card and I was wondering the same thing. Do the X-Ray machines damage camcorder tapes?

BTW, I forgot I put one of our SD cards in my pocket and I didn't realize what I had done until I found them in the dryer after my clothes had dried. All of the pictures were still there and the card was not damaged at all. Through the washing machine and then through the dryer with no damage!!!!

FYI, Gameboy games have gone through similar abuse and survived.

Memory cards will not be damaged going through the scanner. Don't put anything in your luggage you can't afford to lose. If it is valuable carry it on or leave it at home.
