DS9 learned the states and capitals last summer for fun. A few dumb tricks we did - and you have to use your imagination for it to work...
Helena, Montana - he imagined the edge of Montana as being Helen's face - from The Incredibles - she was the stretch lady so her head is stretched back (I told you...you gotta use your imagination!)
Louisiana is shaped like an L; Oklahoma is a big pot, cooking okra. He knew California and Washington but for Salem, Oregon, he thought of M & M sailing in the Pacific Ocean using Ores. He mostly did this to learn the capitals rather than the states. Vermont is shaped like a V. He could usually remember where the states are. If I think of more he used, I'll post them.

I really hope this is a passing grade. Those websites helped too for last minute review!
