What is something, be it song, movie, book, etc, that reminds you of times in your life or certain circumstances that have happened in your life?

The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice and Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie both remind me of my trip to the UK. I was so excited to go until I started dating Eric and realized I'd have to go without him, and I found out that every cheerleader and horrible boy was going. The only two people that kept me sane were my best friend Chelsea and my friend Tommy. Most of the time I had my ipod playing those two songs while everyone was taking tours and crap. I just walked around by myself and just really looked at everything besides just look at what people told me to look at. My trip there really made me realize how much I'd love to live in either Ireland or England.

Seasons in the Sun. It's a old 70's (?) song that was played at my uncle's funeral. It was very distinctive and even though that was years ago, whenever I hear it I think of him.

Those old Disney vacation planning TAPES from 2000, 2001. They really take me back.

Watching CSI reminds me of last year when my mom had a second job and I lived off pizza and fast food.

waaay too many songs remind me of waaaay too many things!!

one that is distinct and somewhat ironic;
I was sitting with my friend Emily listening to Swing Life Away by Rise Against and we were talking about how certain songs remind you of memories, and now whenever I hear that song I think of that conversation hehe.

"You & Me" (i have no idea who sings that song...that one that goes "cuz it's you and me and all other people...")
ANyways, that reminds me of my prom and when my boyfriend & i had to have the first dance in front of everyone (EMBARASSINGGGG!!!!!!!!) when we won prom king & queen.
I get nervous whenever I hear that song because I was soooooooo so nervous &embarassed when that happened!

and "my love" by justin timberlake reminds me of getting texts...because that was my ring tone for texts for all of last year (i recently changed it to wannabe hehe)

So Happy Together

Imagine me and you, I do
I think about you day and night, it's only right
To think about the girl you love, and hold her tight
So happy together

If I should call you up, invest a dime
And you say you belong to me, and ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be, so very fine
So happy together

(Chorus)
I can't see me loving nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me
Baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life

Me and you, and you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice, it had to be
The only one for me is you, and you for me
So happy together

Chorus

Me and you, and you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice, it had to be
The only one for me is you, and you for me
So happy together

Ba ba ba ba, ba ba-ba-ba ba ba ba... (as chorus)

Me and you, and you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice, it had to be
The only one for me is you, and you for me
So happy together

O-o-o-oh
So happy together
O-o-o-oh
How is the weather
Ba, ba ba ba ba
So happy together
Ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba ba
We're happy together
Ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba ba
So happy together
Ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba ba

(Is that the song you're talking about, Caitlin?)

Waaaay OT-

But Caitlin,does the song go,

cause it's you and me
and all of the people
and i don't know why,
i can't keep my eyes off of you.

Major lovey dovey song so it sounds like it could be a prom dance.
Anyway,it's You and Me by Lifehouse.

the Star Tunnel music during the Space Mountain queue. Makes me think of being there looking at the 3d pictures that move when you do. Leaning over the railings to look at the lights. (read somwhere looking at the lights around you can help you see the track better, and strangely it does) Being on the TTA as you go through the building and hearing all the screams from the riders and seeing the rockets zoom over the tracks!

Listening to it now :-D

That sounds a lot more plausible than my song suggestion. :upsidedow

Whenever I listen to my I-pod my mind always drifts to so many different things but one specific song is "100 Years" by Five For Fighting. I was at a party and they had a slideshow made of my friend with different pictures from through out the years. When you listen to it, it just makes all these memoires go through your mind.

:goodvibes :goodvibes

I love that song.
It reminds me of my whole life.

That song reminds me of my first boyfriend, since it was "our song" :]

The song "I Hope You Dance" reminds me of my grandpa, they played it at his funeral. It makes me laugh though, because he HATED country music, he would have been like "Are you serious?!"

100 Years by Five for Fighting reminds me of eighth grade graduation. We all sang that and cried, because we wouldn't be seeing a lot of people there again.

And She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 ALWAYS makes me think my phone is ringing, since it was my ringtone for a longggg time.

This one really weird song by Miley Cyrus, Let's Dance, reminds me of me and my friends rocking out at her concert, and cracking up at how lame we were.

And the movies The Lion King and 101 Dalmatians, they just remind me of being young and happy.

Yeah, I could go on with this list foreverrrr :]

There are tons of songs, that at one point or another have described things going on in my life to a T.
I'm not sharing the actual songs, because they weren't happy songs, nor where the things they related to happy.

But I guess for right now, Best of Me by Sum 41 and Sorry by Buckcherry are how I'm feeling today. I'm sorry for what I did. Even if it was a small thing.

Garth Brooks (any song) sends me back to weekends at camp while my pepere was alive. We'd all be down at the river and he'd be sitting on a rock with a cigar while we splashed in the water and the tape deck would be on the driest rock playing Garth as loud as we could.

Kenny Chesney (any song) sends me to summers at Hampton Beach and the Seafood Festival. I'm not a huge seafood fan, but man some of the best I've ever eaten was here. I worked it one year and right when Kenny was just starting to become a big singer they played him a lot at the drinks tents (non-alcoholic, of course). And even before he started doing a lot of island inspired music, I always got the image of a beach and a blue sky listening to him sing.

"Summer Breeze" by the Isley Brothers sends me back to summer days sitting out on the deck of my house (or below it in my air chair- think a chair-like hammock) with the Red Sox on the outdoor speakers just listening to the game with my eyes closed and the breeze running through my hair and a cold lemonade in my hands and an open book on my lap.

Watching the show Two and a Half Men sends me back to 7th and 8th grade where every Tuesday, I'd walk into school and Sam would be right there and the first thing we'd say was "OMG! I can't believe Charlie (or Alan...or Jake) did that!"

Crayons (specifically Crayola's) send me to Erica's on a summer day out by her pool just coloring her Little Mermaid coloring book and dipping our feet in the water to cool off just before we dried off and headed over to Barrington to get in line for POTC2 and then we cut the line when we spotted Brando halfway to the front (we're talking like a 200 person line!). And then we met up with Beth and Emily and when they ran out of room in the 7:30 show, we went to Brando's for an hour and came back in time to catch the 9:15 showing.

Anyhoozle:

Absolutely (Story of a Girl) - Nine Days always reminds me of one trip to PEI a long long time ago when I was little. They'd play this song constantly.

Home - Michael Buble always reminds me of driving around in Florida. It reminds me of listening to Delilah (request show) in the car because there was simply nothing better to listen to. It reminds me of the sunshine. Part of it I guess, is that everytime I hear it, it feels like Florida is home in a sense.

YOU WIN!
That's the one!!

lol jenny I can't imagine slow dancing to "so hapy together" :rotfl:

"Remember When" reminds me of The Notebook.

Any Kenny Chesney song reminds me of my first concert. August 11th 2007.

Soujla Boy reminds me of when I told my friend that I had a crush on this one guy. (They were playing music in the background and that's the song that played)

Time Of Your Life by Green Day reminds me of Camp in 6th grade.

Boot Scootin Boogie by Brooks & Dunn reminds me of my aunt

The Way I Are, Don't Rock The Jukebox, and Hey Baby remind me of gym. We had to line dance to all of them. Picture line dancing to The Way I Are. O_o Oh and this was Country line dancing, too.
