:flower: Would any of you like to share some of your memories of your first trip to Disneyland or WDW? My first trip to Disneyland was in October of 1984 when I was 5. That's where I got the 1084 at the end of my screen name. What I remember is taking off on the airplane. I was so excited and being that little, I thought everyone traveling on the plane was going to Disneyland. All I really remember is standing in line for Dumbo and thinking I was in a fantasy world. Meaning I thought all the characters dressed up were real. HAHA!!!! :earboy2: Teresa

I was also 5 my first trip to DL, summer of 1972. I remember with great clarity thinking that the ghost sitting with me on the HM ride was real. I also remember going on the Mule ride and thinking there was a pretty good change I was going to fall down the side of what I remember as a mountain, but I enjoyed every second of that attraction anyway! And I remember the Submarine ride and the Electric Light Parade (so magical!). That's about all my brain cells could hang onto I guess. Strangely, I don't remember a single character from the park walking about like you see today.

I believe I was 6 or 7 and this pre dates 1970. Memory is fuzzy but I am glad that they got rid of those A-E tickets.

I sort of feel like I have had two first trips! The first time was in June of 1977. I was 12 and Space Mountain hadn't been open very long. I remember riding with my older sister and being terrified! We rode the teacups and I made a little promise to myself that someday I would bring my kids to Disneyland and ride the teacups with them. 26 years later I returned at last with my husband and kids and headed right to the teacups. As we headed back to Fantasyland we saw Minnie Mouse. She gave the kids big hugs and I knew by the way I was feeling and the look on my husband's face we had stumbled onto something special! We have returned more times than I care to admit in the last 18 months but I still always remember my two "first" trips to Disneyland!

My first trip was when I was two. I remember two things--being pushed in my stroller in the parking lot and that Pirates gave me nightmares (you know the cave after you see the treasure, but before the pirate battle, with the disembodied voice and erie lighting--that gave me nightmares; I thought the walls were talking).
