Does anyone know if it possible to have a small "memories" wedding with a reception? The cost isn't the issue. Our first date ended at the gf and I would love to have a small intimate ceremony there but then again I would like to have a reception.

You could, it depends on what you mean by reception. If you're looking for a small private dinner for your small party, the Grand Floridian is a perfect place. Their private dining department (407-824-2474) is pretty good at setting up lovely events. Since you want to be at a resort and not a park, it would be no problem to wear your dress. You could also possibly rent out one of the restaurants or a private room. I'm sure there will be other ideas. Now if you wanted to do say dancing, etc, I'm not sure how that would work.

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings won't book private catered events for Memories couples because the corporate policy is 10 or more people are required to host one, and the Memories guest limit is 6. However, as the previous poster mentioned, there are other ways to do private functions for small groups. Besides a small event through GF Private dining, you might look into the private rooms at Citricos and the Wave or even Victoria & Albert's (you can buy out Queen Victoria's Room for a night). Jiko and whatever they're going to replace Kouzzina with are two other Disney restaurants with private rooms.
