We planned a trip to WDW for Memorial Day weekend (May 27 thru June 2). If you have been in the past let me know how the Crowds are. We will be staying at the CBR. Any little bit will be helpful. Thank you :thumbsup2

We were there on M-Day weekend 2 years ago.

As expected, it was VERY crowded.

From what I have read and experienced the week-end will be crowded but after Monday things will calm down. It will not be a slow period but it will not be mid-summer crowded either. We will be there ay 27 - June 3. So let's hope for the best.

We're leaving May 25 and will be in WDW through May 30 (first time at the Swan). I know we'll be spending Friday and maybe another weekend day at MGM for Star Wars Weekend. I'm hoping for the best too.

We've gone the past four years over Memorial Day weekend. As said before, Saturday and Sunday will be crowded. We just deal with it - we usually spend Sunday at Epcot anyway so it doesn't seem that bad to us. By Monday, everyone will have cleared out and the rest of your time will be absolutely fine.

One thing to note - if you don't have dining reservations for Saturday and Sunday, better get them now. Lots of unhappy people who don't know about this (I'm still amazed they don't make reservations) and are turned away from the table service places.

We go every year for Memorial Day week also, this year arriving in Orlando on 5/26, staying off-site for one night, then moving to the Dolphin for 5/27 - 6/2, then moving to the Hard Rock Hotel for 6/2 - 6/4. The Memorial Day weekend is busy, lots of locals in the parks and most schools in the South are out by the 26th. Then mid-week it slows down some, not empty by any means, but very manageable. The next weekend picks back up with the Gay days going on. We always avoid MK on the first Saturday in June, crowds will be horrible. This year, we've decided to move over to Universal for that weekend. Make sure and make your ADR's for the weekends atleast if you want specific restaurants. We have always been able to get same-day lunch seatings if you are flexible about place and time. We've even done walk-ups to Garden Grill and Coral Reef for lunch and have gotten in. I love going this week, celebrates a school year coming to an end for my son and kicks off the summer in style!

We're thinking of next year the 1st of June, a Friday, through Monday.

What are gay days? Really would like to know. And when is it exactly?

Are a lot of kids out of school already? We've gone the first weekend in May before and the weather wasn't too hot. Hope the heat won't increase too much by first part of June.
