Based on your past experiences, (and assuming we have the choice), which of these times might be less busy:

--mid-week prior to, during, and mid-week after Mem. Day

or

--the first week of June

I would choose the first one you listed, as a matter of fact, I did choose it for my May trip :teeth:

thnx, nativetxn! (sorry, I couldn't resist)

Any lingering doubts are gone, AND I have what I need to convince DH that it's the right time to go (he knows that what I find out from this board is most reliable).:)

I'd avoid Memorial Day if at all possible. The crowds being to gather on Friday and don't let up until Tuesday. If you can go after Tuesday, that's what I would choose.

We'll be there 1st trip May 18-26...planning on doing AK on Friday...how will this park be early on? I'm assuming most people travel in on this day so hoping it won't be too, too bad until late afternoon/early evening....planned on 'chillin' on Sat/Sun at pool, DTD and waterparks to avoid heavist Mem Day crowds.....

DS's last day of school (2nd grade) is May 21. Before I realized that Mem. Day was coming up, the plan was to visit WDW as soon as school was over. But, that puts Mem. Day w/end SMACK in the middle of our time there. I had dreams of a nice, unhurried week of fun, just DS and Mom.

Which takes me back to my original problem........

I guess he could miss the last 3 days of school, and we go a week earlier.......

Or lap into June...... But don't the crowds start picking up in June?

We were in Magic Kingdom the Friday before Memorial Day last
year, and it was pretty crowded. AK on Saturday was crowded too, but I don't remember Sunday in Epcot being tooooo bad.
The first weekend of June has traditionally been gay weekend the past couple of years. I've read on these boards, (not personally seen) that there is some outward affection displayed. If this would be a issue, then you might want to know this. Your child might be too young to notice or old enough to not care! It's a personal decision of when to visit WDW.
Have fun!

I have been there at various times during the year and the best time so far was memorial day weekend thru the next weekend. Yes there were some crowd problems on Sat, Sun, & Mon but not to the point of madness and from Tues on it was absolutely beautiful. Also the weather was very good, Warm to hot but not much humidity and no big late day storms blowing by.
