Memorial for Lorie and Glenn

Just saw on the Passporter Facebook page that there is a memorial being planned by the "PassPorter" forum for Lorie & Glenn.

It's scheduled to take place on Friday June 3rd from 8:30pm to 11:30pm at the Italy Pavilion in Epcot.

Plans are to raise a glass just before Illuminations in their honor.

I would like to do a memorial for Lorie and Glenn, too....

I am wondering if we could do something for GKTW in their honor...

If we can raise $200 we can actually get a stone and put her name on it or even "Lorie and Glenn" and it can be there at GKTW...

This can even go toward the Power of 10 Fundraising goals, too! It would be so awesome!!

What a wonderful idea Mary. As far as the memorial goes, I will definitely be there in spirit, and lift a glass for Lorie and Glenn at 9pm too on Friday, June 3rd.

I love the idea. I just gave a big chunk of money to the Mexico mission fund for our teenagers at church, so I'm only good for a few dollars, but I am in. I'll stay tuned for details.

I am glad. We can be there in spirit and feel closer to the event through our DIS friends that can get there. I didn't know Lorie except through posts around the boards, but this is really hitting me hard for some reason. My daughter's family was in the Alabama tornadoes a few weeks ago, and I guess I am just letting all of that catch up with me. My daughter spent the early evening laying on top of my granddaughters (surrounded by pillows and couch cushions) as she listened to hail pound the roof and wind blow things by the house. They were safe, but this has just made me grasp the reality of what could have been for them. Our DIS friends are all special to us, whether we have met them in person or just through conversations on the boards. The loss of any of them is a heartache for the whole DIS family.

Sorry to be so wordy. When you said you'd be at the memorial and I looked at your two precious girls, I just started getting tears again. Life and the people in our lives are so, so precious.

I'm sooo in!!!! I already know that I'll be cryin on Friday night in rememberance of Lori and Glenn. While I didn't know them but thru here a few times...I would be sad if any one of you were to have somethin tragic happen to you and/or your family. Whenever I go to "Italy" now...I'll always remember them...

I didn't know Lorie and Glenn personally, but I, like others, are familiar with Lorie's posts here on the boards. We will be leaving Disney that morning, so we will miss the memorial, but I will toast to their memory earlier in the week.
